Week #19 - December 22nd-December 29th

With icy roads closing school for a few days, I took advantage of the unexpected time off to dive deeper into my science fair project. I’m developing an assistive technology for individuals who are auditorily impaired, and the extra hours allowed me to refine my research questions and prototype ideas.

I also continued preparing applications for various summer programs, seeking opportunities that will stretch my understanding of embedded systems, AI, and environmental sensing. As I wait to hear back, I’m staying optimistic and focused on the skills I can develop now.

The Enterprise Neurosystem team is planning a conference at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory in California, and there’s a chance I’ll get to attend. The prospect of meeting JPL scientists and discussing our sensor work is incredibly exciting. Meanwhile, the rare Texas snow this week was a fun reminder to appreciate the little moments — a perfect balance of play and productivity.
