Week #11 - October 27th-November 3rd

This week has been one of the busiest and most demanding yet, filled with tests, projects, and deadlines across nearly all of my classes in school. Despite the academic overload and the work that comes with it, I still found time to make meaningful progress in ISM and my independent projects, which helped balance the load of the week.

One of the highlights was joining yet another Enterprise Neurosystem call, where we discussed upcoming initiatives in Uganda and their ongoing collaboration with NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory in California (JPL). It was fascinating to hear how large‑scale organizations are integrating IoT and AI to solve global environmental challenges. Every call I join deepens my understanding of how professionals operate in this space and reinforces my passion for contributing to meaningful, real‑world innovation as well as gain insightful knowledge into how they collaborate together.

In ISM specifically, I worked extensively on my Career Research Speech, compiling everything I’ve learned this semester into a structured, coherent presentation. It was rewarding to see how my various assessments, mentor research, and technical exploration all connect to form a clear narrative about my interests and career goals. I feel proud of how it’s coming together and confident in how I’ll present it.

On the technical side, I experimented with some new hardware, including the MPU6050 gyroscope sensor. Unfortunately, I discovered that it had been damaged, likely from an earlier short circuit when I was still new to wiring sensors. While disappointing, it served as a reminder of how much I’ve grown technically since then, and I plan to order a new one soon to continue testing.
