Week #5 - September 15th-September 22nd

This week, I focused on both preparation and exploration in ISM. I began curating my résumé to highlight my skills and experiences so that I am ready for the upcoming symposium. This process has made me reflect on the abilities I’ve developed so far and how I can present them in a way that communicates both competence and potential to mentors and professionals in the field.

My research has continued to expand into the specialization of the Internet of Things, but I have also started seeing how artificial intelligence interacts with IoT, which is the field of AIoT. In my Research Assessment 4, I explored this intersection and looked at the broader implications it has in real‑world applications. AIoT has the potential to transform industries by making systems smarter, more adaptive, and more efficient. This research has also led me to brainstorm possible projects of my own, such as enhancing my plant monitoring project with AI integration or pursuing renewable energy optimization projects. Both ideas are exciting opportunities to combine innovation with sustainability.

Outside of ISM, I’ve continued the long‑standing routine of SAT preparation. While balancing research, résumé building, and test practice has been challenging, I feel that the discipline gained from this process is preparing me for the coming demands of both college and career. Each week is just adding a layer of growth, and I am starting to see how these different areas of my life—academic, professional, and personal—are gradually converging into a bigger picture.
