What ISM Is

Independent Study and Mentorship (ISM) is a year-long course where students investigate a career field through structured research, professional interaction, and a major project.

Students build foundational understanding through assessments, interviews, mentor observations, and field-specific documentation. They then convert that learning into an original work product and final portfolio evidence.

What This Portfolio Demonstrates

  • Topic selection and technical career intent.
  • Progressive research artifacts and reflection quality.
  • Professional engagement through mentor and industry interaction.
  • Original Work progression toward final product completion.
